Steering and front suspension disassembly

Once I removed the steering and front suspension I could not immediately understand the condition of the top cone due to the amount of dirt!

After a bit of scratching and scrubbing, and lots of hammering (!!) here's the looks:

The column and the steering pinon are in a very good condition, however the cone base and top are completely destroyed by the rust!! The bearing on the top is also garbage...

I really hope I can still find this part in a distributor, or worst case second hand. Don't even want to think about rebuilding it!
